Activision has announced that Call of Duty: WWII is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a time-limited event known as Shamrock & Awe. In all honesty, that’s not a bad pun, so fair play to them.

The event not only gives the game a brand new aesthetic reflecting the March 17 festivities (shamrocks are plastered all over the place and there’s a lot of green, basically), but there’s also new multiplayer playlists to tuck into, extra Contracts and Orders, plus two limited-time gear collections. See below for more details.

Shipment 1944 is a revamped version of the classic proximity-based multiplayer map, and can be downloaded free today for Season Pass holders and on March 16 for everyone else. Meanwhile, Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit sees you hunting down an undead leprechaun across Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Domination modes to earn all your Scorestreaks full and ready to deploy.

On the weapons front, Call of Duty: WWII players will be able to snap up a bunch of themed gear, such as helmets, uniforms, weapon camos, and more, plus two brand new weapons: M-38 Submachine Gun and MG 81 Light Machine Gun. These will only be available during Operation: Shamrock & Awe.

Shamrock & Awe is available now and will run until April 3. In addition, developer Sledgehammer Games has also released a new update for Call of Duty: WWII, which you can read up on here.

Activision recently announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in October.
