News: PS4 re-master Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age takes the top spot in the UK charts.

Square Enix debuts at number one with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, a re-master of the 2007 PS2 release. This is Square Enix’s first number one title since Deus Ex: Mankind Divided last year. It also shows a continued nostalgic fervour for re-mastered or re-made classics from older Playstation formats, following Crash’s success in previous weeks.

Speaking of, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot N.Sane trilogy sees a drop of two places to number three after ruling the roost for two weeks. Call of Duty Infinite Warfare jumps up six places to number two after seeing the benefit of a prime price drop. Overwatch, at number four, continues its strong performance despite dropping one place in the charts, seeing sales stay at a high level due to retailer discounts. Grand Theft Auto remains in the top 10 in perpetuity, obviously refusing to go anywhere.

Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 3, the beneficiary of increased sales from the recent Xbox One S bundles,  is back into the top 10, climbing eight places to number six in this weeks charts. Minecraft Xbox Edition also re-enters the top 10 at number seven, having dropped out of the top 20 in recent weeks. There are also top 10re-entries for Sony’s Wipeout: Omega Collection, Horizon Zero Dawn and Warner’s Injustice 2.

The full top 10 for the week ending July 15 is as follows:

  1. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
